Welcome to the Catford Comunity Church website

Happy New Year everyone and I hope you have had a wonderful Christmas and New year. Most importantly is that you have had time to relax and have a break from work to be with loved ones. Now that we are in the New Year, what does has God in store for us? Or, to put it another way, what are our plans regarding this year 2012? Inspired by Hebrews 12:1-4 and the Olympics, we think "Run the Race" might be appropriate. In this passage, the writer was encouraging his audience to run the race marked out for them. But for them to do this effectively they had to get rid of sin and anything that hindered them.
The writer further encourages them to fix their gaze on Jesus as a good example of someone who has run the race and succeeded. I believe more than ever that as Christians we need to put aside distractions and turn our eyes on Jesus. This becomes more important because things are getting much more difficult financially coupled with political uncertainties and social dislocation all across Britain.
As a Church, we are planning to be involved in the Olympics which is now just round the corner, CCC will also be 10 this year (something worth celebrating!). T Net is starting a leadership Training in March as well as another joint service. Do not be a spectator this year but rather Run the Race. God bless you this year
If you would like to find out more about the Leadership Training sessions please click here. This course is not just for those who are already leaders or already feel called into leadership but for anyone who would like to hear about how they can serve God better.

Sunday Services
Do join us for our next service - Sunday 22nd Jan, 10.30am at Holbeach School
We'd love to meet you, whether you are new to the area, or have lived here for a while, and are curious to come and check us out - we aim to be a "church for people who don't normally go to church".
Do feel free to come along to our service this Sunday morning, 10.30am, at Holbeach School. You'll find a warm welcome, and there are groups for youth and children, and refreshments after the service, which finishes around noon. More details here |
