God's heart for justice
God's Heart for Justice is our mini-series during for Sundays in March, as well as a special Friday night
- On Sunday 5th we looked at how Fairtrade works for banana growers in poor countries, and we had two special guests with us, Mayor of Lewisham, Steve Bullock and Bananaman - seen right taking on the CCC youth group at tug of war! View this Powerpoint for an overview of Fairtrade
- On Sunday 12th Simon Pellew from Stepping Stone will help us grapple with how God wants justice to work in our society
- On Sunday 19th David Muir will speak about God's compassion for the sick, and particularly those with HIV/AIDS
- Friday 17th is St Patrick's Night and we will be celebrating with a Ceildih at the Powerleague in Catford, and are delighted to have folk group Muscadin providing music and dancing. This is a fundraising evening with proceeds going to Christian Aid's Act Justly Appeal; raising money for it's partner organisation, ACET Uganda who provide care for people living with HIV/AIDS.
